Liam set the business up in 2016 after spending 10yrs at Halifax. During that time he progressed through the ranks up to fully qualified mortgage adviser status.

Setting up the business from the corner of the bedroom, then moving to a shared office facility and renting 2 offices, and up to this point where MCM Advice Ltd own the building they call MCM HQ.

Liam prides himself on customer service. The company slogan is “Proper, honest advice”

At the ages of 18 and 24. Liam had massive tragedy in his life. His father passed away from an aggressive cancer not long after he had cancelled a life insurance policy (Paul was 52). He also lost his brother in a tragic accident when Stephen was only 36. Stephen believed that he was young enough and “didn’t necessarily need any cover at that age”

This is why Liam talks so passionately about protection to all of his clients whatever their age. He has seen the financial worry that families go through at first hand after losing a loved one.

Liam enjoyed playing football before moving in to coaching kids. In that phase of personal development he gained the Level 1 & 2 FA Badge in Coaching Football, and Level 1 in Coaching Goalkeepers.

In his spare time he loves anything to do with playing and watching football – mostly with his sons but Newcastle United are a close second (whatever form they’re in)

In the past, he has done a bit boxing on the white collar circuit. 1 Loss then 1 Win which is when the gloves got hung up.

Liam loves helping people and takes great reward from helping clients achieve their dreams of owning their own home.

Liam would like to talk to anyone that shares the same beliefs and interests and is passionate about what they do.

Donna is Office Manager here at MCM Advice, joining the business in 2018, alongside husband Liam.

Prior to joining Liam at MCM, Donna spent 15 years working in the retail sector, progressing onto management roles. Throughout her career, she has taken pleasure in building friendly relationships with customers and clients and has always been very confident and proud to provide exceptional service, help and advice. She now provides support to the advisers here at MCM ensuring the office runs smoothly.

Donna and Liam have two sons, Joe & Olly, who love football, which is where they spend their spare time, mainly playing or watching NUFC.

Emily has been with us since September 2018.  She joined us after spending 25 years working with Halifax having worked up from typing letters to mortgage admin to mortgage underwriting and to eventually becoming a mortgage adviser in 2004.

She advised on mortgages both in the Bank branches and with Halifax Estate Agents when they were part of the Halifax Group as well.

When not working, Em likes to spend time at the gym. When not dashing about doing something or other for her grown up children, she loves to read. A lot. Really a lot!

Leanne joined us in 2021, after working for Halifax as a mortgage adviser within their estate agency and banks across the north east since 2001.

Leanne loved helping customers throughout her time with bank but was excited to start a new chapter in advising with MCM and having the ability to advise on a much bigger product range. Leanne is married with one young son so much of her spare time is quality family time as well as enjoying socialising with friends.

Gemma joined our admin team here at MCM Advice in November 2023. Gemma brings first class customer service to the team after 22 years at Barclays Bank as a Customer Advisor. Alongside this she offers support to our brokers ensuring our client’s journeys run smoothly and stress free.

Gemma has two daughters, alongside her partner and a lovely little dog, Trevor who she loves spending time with as well as socialising with friends.

Tasmin is another member of our admin team who joined us in December 2023.

Prior to joining MCM Advice, Tasmin spent 6 years at a solicitors where she progressed from admin support to a paralegal. With this experience she brings valuable skills and knowledge of the mortgage process to our admin team as well as offering support to our brokers.

Tasmin likes to read and socialise with friends in her spare time along with spending quality time with her husband and young daughter.
